Popview Outdoor

With the coming of the Serious Request, a charity project of the Dutch radio station 3FM, in december 2009 and the Eurosonic Noorderslag festival in january 2010, Groningen was for a moment the pop city of Holland. Because of this, the town centre of Groningen was turned into a public exhibition space for music photography from 18th of December 2009 till the 17th of January 2010.

The Popview Outdoor exhibition contained work of music photographers that have been nominated for the Lex van Rossen Award in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

The photos could be seen around the Grote Markt, De Vismarkt, the Boterdiep, Der Aa-kerk and The Groninger Museum. For the visitors of the Serious request project, the photography was used as passageway from the central station to the Grote Markt.
