Edition 2010: Janos Kummer

Janos Kummer was born in 1983 in Esztergom in Hungary . Because of his old affection for music, especially loud and noisy hardcore and punk music, he started taking photographs of all the concerts and events he visited. In 2006, Janos participated in a scholarship program and studied photography at the Vraa Hojskole in Denmark. In 2007, Janos graduated from MÚOSZ Association of Hungarien Journalists, György Bálint Academy of Journalism in Budapest as a photo journalist. At that point, be became an intern at HVG, the most popular weekly business magazine in Hungary.

In March 2008 Kummer joined the editorial office of Zoom.hu, a new online newsportal and stayed there till the end of the site. Currently, he works as a freelancer for many Hungarian magazines and sites like HVG, Origo, Quart, Crossroad and foreign magazines like Fuze. Janos Kummer works closely with many of the Hungarian Booking Agencies like Skalar Music Hungary , Budapest Rock and Roll, For the kids. Currently, he is working on a project to document the Hungarian punk and hardcore scene.
